01 / The heart of it

Small towns.
Big hearts.

The Southern Inyo Fire Protection District keeps watch over a vast, rugged corner of the Mojave.

This is a small-community fire department powered by people who know their neighbors, answer the call, and look after our own. Firefighters and EMTs serve more than 500 souls across over 1,200 square miles—often with long distances between us.

You don’t need to be an expert to make a difference. You just need the heart of a hero.
